THIS SHARED GUIDED TOUR FOR WHEELCHAIR CONFINED PEOPLE TAKES MORE THAN ONE DISABLED VISITOR. FOR THAT REASON IT IS IMPORTANT THAT EACH PARTICIPANT ON WHEELCHAIR HAS HIS OWN ASSISTANT (HELPER).
The final group size will be maximum 10 people (4 wheelchair confined people and 6 companions) – so still very personal. When you reserve, we consider the maximum number of 10 people (100 euros per person) and you pay for that. Obviously you can cancel the tour if we do not reach the maximum amount of 10 people (with a price of 100 euros per person) or take the tour as a private group paying slightly extra.
The price reduces according to the number of participants: with a party of 4 people you pay 190 euros per person, but with 10 people you pay 100 euros per person: so that's why it will be advisable that you help us find other passengers with you.
The vehicle is a deluxe Mercedes Sprinter equipped with a wheelchair accessible ramp, and the professional guide is English-speaking.
YOUR GUIDE WILL WELCOME YOU BY YOUR CRUISE AT THE PORT AND HE WILL SPEND ALL THE DAY LONG WITH YOU TILL THE CONCLUSION OF THE TRIP BACK TO THE PORT. THE ENTRANCE FEE IN POMPEII (€ 11 PER PERSON) IS NOT INCLUDED.

POMPEII MONUMENT OF THE DAY
On the eastern side of the Foro, there’s a majestic and elegant building with a marble frieze above the portal. Two inscriptions attribute this building to Eumachia, a priestess of Venus and owner of a flourishing business operating in the wool industry, which she had inherited from her husband. Indeed this is thought to be the seat of the Corporation of wool and cloth manufacturers, although another interpretation claim that the building was dedicated by the priestess to the Gens Iulia and was used for cult worship of the Emperor Augustus through the statues of his ancestor. RECIPE OF THE DAY OF THE ANCIENT POMPEII
(Apic. 6, 3, 1) Ingredients:
- 1 partridge for each person
- Pepper
- Lovage (or celery leaves)
- Celery seeds
- Mint
- Myrtle berries (or juniper berries)
- 30 ml red wine
- 30 ml red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp liquamen (or soya sauce)
- Honey

FORBIDDEN POMPEII: IMAGES AND NEWS
