Be ready to spend a romantic afternoon in the Island of Capri.
An expert skipper, with a motorboat ‘Tornado 38’, will wait for You at the harbour of Sorrento – at 5 p.m. – for drive you to this magic island, even more enchanted for the sunset light. You will have the possibility of circumnavigate the island, at the discovery of natural cave and small creek and , if you desire, you can swim to the famous ‘Blue Grotto’. A stop will not be missed at the Faraglioni rocks, three blocks of rock which have survived coastal landslides and high more than hundred metres, for a bathe in the crystalline water around the island.
In your free time you can visit Capri’s land: the famous ‘Piazzetta’, the crowded small street or the exclusive shops.
On request, is possible to book the dinner in the exclusive Restaurant “La Canzone del Mare”, a place that embodies the essence of Capri, as depicted in myth and fable old and new.
Follows the back to Sorrento’s harbour.

POMPEII MONUMENT OF THE DAY
Walking further down Via dell’Abbondanza in the direction of the Porta di Sarno Gate, we reach Pompeii’s equivalent of a ‘fast-food’ restaurant, where warm meals could be bought and eaten on the spot. Coins for a total weight of about 3 kg, equivalent in worth to about 680 sesterces, were found in one of the wall recesses. Given the large quantity of change (374 asses and 1,237 quadrantes, each worth one of quarter of an as), these were probably the takings of a single day’s business. RECIPE OF THE DAY OF THE ANCIENT POMPEII
(Apic. 3, 19, 1) Ingredients:
- Thistles*, a taft
- Liquamen (or 5 tblsp soya sauce + 5 tsp anchovy paste)
- 5 tblsp oil
- 4 eggs
Instructions:

Clean, cut and boil the thistles. Boil eggs. Put in a pan Liquamen and oil, mesh and boil. Put the thistles in the sauce and cut eggs over it. Cover and leave it marinate for half an hour, without boiling. Serve hot.
*It’s possible to use artichoke instead of thistles.
FORBIDDEN POMPEII: IMAGES AND NEWS
Love was a common topic of conversation in Pompeii. Feelings, passions, poetic love, sex, homosexuality, prostitution and so forth were all part of daily life and not a source of prejudice.
